Rev. Kim Dorr-Tilley ::
Pastor to the Entertainment Industry

Kim received her first call to ministry at Bel Air Presbyterian in September of 2005. She started attending Bel Air in 1993, making Bel Air her first and only church home since she came to faith.  She is a graduate of Fuller Seminary having earned her M. Div in 2002. Her favorite class was on the life and ministry of Dietrich Bonhoeffer...(ask her to tell you about him if you don't know his story!)  Kim's first passion in ministry at Bel Air is the Entertainment Ministry. She and many other Christians working in showbiz consider Hollywood to be an amazing mission field which contains within it the ability to transform culture.  It is her delight, not only to work with Cassie Baker, and the volunteers of Beacon, but to see people of all walks, vocations and venues within entertainment taking hold of God's plans for Hollywood.
Kim continues to work in entertainment as the co-owner of Defining Artists Agency - yes while she serves as a pastor on staff!  She has worked in entertainment, specifically with on-camera talent, for over 20 years. She developed and ran the Casting Department of The Arthur Company, an independent television production company, for nine years. She cast many hours of comedy and drama for cable, syndicated, and prime time programming while also finding and developing talent for the company. Kim jumped across the desk in 1993, becoming a talent agent at the Bobby Ball Agency where she headed up the Children's and Young Adult TV/ Film Division and started the Adult Theatrical Department. In 2002, Defining Artists, an Adult Theatrical Boutique Agency, was born out of the Adult Theatrical Department of BBA. In 2005, Kim took over ownership of Defining Artists with her partner, Dede Binder-Goldsmith.  Kim, Dede, and their third agent, Breanna Bell, LOVE being agents and actually have a lot of FUN!!
Meanwhile, back at Bel Air, Kim also oversees the Prayer Ministry, Alpha and the Bethel Program. She is humbled by the commitment the leaders and volunteers in these ministries make of their time and how they labor together, believing that LA can and will become the greatest city for Christ through faithful servants doing what God has laid on their hearts.

Kim holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Denver and was in the first class at the National Theatre Conservatory housed at the Denver Center Theatre Company. A Colorado native, she is a die-hard Bronco fan. She loves the Rocky Mountains and will forever think of that beautiful state as "home" even though California, after 25+ years, is starting to grow on her. Kim married her sweetheart, Bob Tilley, in November of 2009.
