Global Service Teams

Thank you for your interest in joining one of our Global Service Teams! This summer, we commissioned two teams to our partners in China and South Africa – check back for stories and photos sharing about these experiences.

Today, we announce our newest global service opportunity:

A Congo “InterMission” Trip

In discerning the best way to support our partner’s ministry in Bunia as well as considering the safety in mobilizing a team, Bel Air Church will not physically send a group in 2018. However, the need and opportunity remain - our Service Team will take an “intermission”, but the call to respond will not cease. The Needs Are Great

Earlier this year, the body of Bel Air Church stood to support our brothers and sisters in Bunia through our partnership with Communauté Evangélique au Centre de l’Afrique (CECA 20) and Pastor James Byensi, during a time of intense crisis and danger.

That violence continues today.

Thousands of children and adults have been displaced into refugee camps around the city of Bunia after their homes and farms have been burned down. There remains a tremendous and immediate need for food, shelter, medicine, relocation support, and trauma care. CECA 20 serves those seeking this aid throughout the Ituri Provence.

How We Can Help

By PARTICIPATING in this Congo “InterMission” Team, we have the opportunity to:
  • PRAY for the leaders and community of the DRC
  • SEE photos of the need and progress
  • READ from Pastor James Byensi and those in our BAC family who have served in the Congo
  • SHARE this need and opportunity to help with others
  • GIVE a financial gift towards specific and immediate needs

A gift of:
  • $100 will provide TRAUMA CARE for 5 victims
  • $250 will provide FOOD for 20 families who have been displaced
  • $5,000 will provide A ROOF for a church or school that has been burned
  • Any amount will share COMPASSION AND CARE to a person in great distress

Please join our efforts – from Los Angeles to the Congo – as we stand altogether and bring Revival and Renewal to our city and around the world.

Below are recent pictures from Pastor James and our brothers and sisters in the Congo. Check back for updates.
