Dear Parents and Families,
On behalf of Bel Air Presbyterian Church and the Preschool Committee, let me welcome you and your child to Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool. We are thrilled that you and your family will be part of the Preschool and through that association, will also be connected to the church family. We look forward to a year filled with fun activities to share with your child as well as the entire family. Our purpose is to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment that preserves the experience of childhood through a carefully planned Christian program. We provide a quality, developmental curriculum that fosters the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of each child. Our curriculum is centered to be emergent and meet the needs of the individual child, to be “hands-on” and allow children to learn through experience. Here, in an environment of acceptance and love, your child will grow in the nurture of God and encounter His grace and love. We wish for children to experience and develop their curiosity, imagination, self-esteem, to offer opportunities to expand their knowledge and to be encouraged and supported as they face new developmental milestones. We value and have a commitment to excellence in Early Childhood Education. From our teaching staff, director, pastors and the Preschool Committee, we seek to be on the growing edge of quality in our field. Our commitment as a staff and Preschool Committee is to come alongside you as parents and to support your role as you face the early years of your child’s growth and development. This commitment extends to you whether you are a member of Bel Air Presbyterian Church or not. We seek to be available to you as parents in any way that we are able. This handbook is intended to acquaint you with our philosophy, policies and procedures. Please do not hesitate to call me or any member of the staff or committee in order to help you grow with your child during this exciting time of life. We are so blessed to have you be a part of the Preschool family and the church family as well. Please remember us in prayer, as we are holding you and yours in our prayers throughout the school year. Warmly, Andrea Petsche Preschool Director |
