SEPTEMBER

8.27-9.10	HOME VISITS BEGIN We will call you to setup a visit with your child’s teacher(s). This is a great opportunity to prepare for transition to Preschool.
9.1	‘07-’08 PRESCHOOL TUITION PAYMENT NO. 2 DUE
9.3	LABOR DAY HOLIDAY—Preschool Office Closed
9.6	WELCOME BRUNCH (9:30 a.m.–noon) This is a very important parent orientation. Please have at least one parent representative attend and bring a brunch dish to share. Outdoor setting...please dress weather-appropriate. Parents only please, no childcare available.
9.7	STAFF RETREAT Preschool Office Closed
9.11	FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL (Middle, Oldest & Afternoon Enrichment Classes) Please plan to spend some time on campus. Children attend on scheduled days.
9.11-9.14	YOUNGEST CLASSES OPEN HOUSE DAYS AT SCHOOL between 9–11 a.m. Parents & children come to play and stay in the classrooms, and meet & greet with teachers & other parents. Parents should plan to stay a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours and must stay on campus the entire time. Youngest class children and parents invited every day (Tue–Fri) regardless of schedule.
9.17	YOUNGEST CLASSES FIRST REGULAR DAY OF SCHOOL Children attend on scheduled days. Early morning drop-off begins. 9.18 FIRST SESSION OF MOMMY & ME (Tues classes) begin 9.20 FIRST SESSION OF MOMMY & ME (Thurs classes) begin 9.24-10.19 COATS FOR KIDS!!! Help us make sure the children of LA have coats for the winter—bring in your “too” small coats from last year to donate to our Urban Ministry Dept.

10.1	‘07-’08 PRESCHOOL TUITION PAYMENT NO. 3 DUE
10.2	VERY IMPORTANT Parent Meetingg from 9:15–10:15 a.m. on Adventure Avenue playground. BACK TO SCHOOL “PARENTS NIGHT” at 7p.m. Parents only. A great time to see what your child has been up to, ask questions and meet other parents. Please sign up to bring an appetizer or desert to share.
10.4	PRESCHOOL COMMITTEE BOARD MTG 7 p.m.
10.9	KINDERGARTEN NIGHT at 7 p.m for parents especially of oldest class children, but all preschool families are encouraged to attend. Come hear from other “graduate” parents & preschool staff about options for your future kindergartener.

NOVEMBER

11.1	MOMMY & ME PARENTS NIGHT 7 p.m.
11.12	SCHOOL CLOSED Veteran’s Day
11.15 & 11.16	SPEECH, LANGUAGE & HEARING SCREENING
11.20	THANKSGIVING FEAST (Short Preschool Day—Pick-up at 10:30 a.m.) Feast will be across the street at 10:45 a.m. We will join together for a time of eating and giving thanks. Parents & siblings welcome! No Afternoon Enrichment. MOMMY & ME 1ST SESSION END (Tuesday class)
11.21–11.24	NO SCHOOL Thanksgiving Holiday (school closed)
11.22	NO MOMMY & ME (Thursday class)
11.27–12.15	CHRISTMAS OUTREACH PROGRAM Each year, Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool does something different to help children and families in need by providing gifts & food for Christmas. Don’t miss this opportunity to get involved with your child!
11.29	CHRISTMAS PROGRAM REHEARSALS in sanctuary at 16221 Mulholland Drive. Drop-off at 9 a.m. Children move back to the preschool building after practice. Drop-off locations: Youngest A & B—nursery on lower level, Middle B—Prayer Room, Middle A—Vestry, Oldest–Bride Room, Early a.m. Drop-Off (8:00 a.m.)— Bride Room. Permission slips will follow. MOMMY & ME 1ST SESSION ENDS (Thursday Class)

2.15	APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR NEW STUDENTS FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION DUE for grants in the 2008–2009 school year.
2.18	NO SCHOOL President’s Day Holiday

MARCH
