"Go
therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.
And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
Christians,
whom God has called and blessed, are commanded to be a blessing
to all peoples. The Great Commission was not merely a parting
afterthought of Jesus before he ascended into Heaven. Rather,
God's plan for those who follow him is and has always been
the same. We who follow Christ are not to hoard the message
and the blessings to ourselves, but we are charged to give
them away! In the Old Testament, the people of God are sharply
criticized for their failure to care for the poor and widowed
and orphaned among them. In the New Testament, God does not
allow the young church to remain in its cozy fellowship for
very long. They instantly are scattered, and thereby fulfill
Jesus' commission to be his witnesses not only in Jerusalem,
but in Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth.

Air has long been a strong supporter of Local, Urban and Global
Outreach. Those who have volunteered their time and talents
have seen firsthand the joy and power of sharing with and
learning from the least among us.
Recent Outreach Testimony:
"Greeting in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been on vacation and just got your e-mail about feedback from "Big Sunday". Our church had 22 volunteers: 14 adults & 8 youth. Our oldest volunteer was 94 and our youngest was 6 years old. Our site was Normandie Avenue Elementary School. We had a wonderful time painting murals, planting trees and flowers, participating in the games and dance exercise activities and enjoying the entertainment. Our project was sponsored by Disney Corporation so quite naturally we had Mickey Mouse there, which was a real treat for the young at heart. We had such a great time that we can hardly wait until next year to volunteer. Every time one of us pass by the school we cannot help but take a longer look at the school. We thank those of you who put in the many hours of up front work to make this such an enjoyable experience for us."
