The Beacon
The Beacon is a ministry to and for people of faith working in all aspects of entertainment. Too often we hear, 'My career doesn't understand my faith and my faith doesn't understand my career.' In the Beacon, we endeavor to integrate these worlds and support artists, agents, lawyers, execs, craft people; you name it, as we together pursue our calling here in Hollywood. One of the group's goals is to bring the relevance of a Christ-centered community to bear upon the realities of our careers in entertainment. We hope to provide support, inspiration, and experienced testimony from those seasoned in the business and their faith. Rev. Kim Dorr, the Designated Associate Pastor of Entertainment Ministries, is available for private counseling or prayer. Beacon Fellowship
2nd & 4th Sundays, Discipleship Center Rm. DC3, 12:15–2 p.m.
Beacon Fellowship meets twice monthly. Lunch (optional) $5. Childcare provided by Hang Time II. Once a month we will have a guest speaker in, an “Inside the Beacon” type of interview with an industry professional, sharing his or her challenges, dreams and journey in the biz. The other Sunday will be spent in some theological reflection, discussion groups and prayer time.

Film Night
Film Screening & Theological Discussion :: Generally the first Sunday of each month (date & details may change for special circumstances); 7:30–10 p.m.
All are welcome to join us for Film Screenings & Discussions happening each month. These screenings are FREE & NO RSVP is needed. Not all films are suitable for all ages; please contact Cassie to find out screening details the week of the event.

Actors Bootcamp
Two times each year, the Beacon hosts Actors Bootcamp, where industry professionals share their expertise with us! This is an all day event where actors can enjoy panel discussions and select from a list of breakout sessions with the industry professionals each having their own focus. Past experts have included casting directors, talent representatives, voiceover talents, stunt coordinators, improv talents, and acting coaches! Look for information here or in the Bel Air Worship Bulletin as the events are scheduled.

Conversations with Consequence
Two or three times a year, The Beacon will also host a city-wide event called "Conversations with Consequence" with panel discussions or world class speakers dealing with topics that engage the culture, challenge our stereotypes, and inspire us to broaden our horizons. Look for information here or in the Bel Air Worship Bulletin as the events are scheduled.
