What is Music with Mission?

Music with Mission is a new ministry within Bel Air Presbyterian Church’s Worship & Arts program that involves our artists and musicians in strategic mission projects both locally and around the world. Whether it is serving neighboring churches through worship leadership, spotlighting worthy causes through concerts, or bringing the gift of music to places in need of hope, we are answering the challenge Christ gives, “To those whom much has been given, much is required.”

What is involved?

This fall we will partner with the Mojalet Dance Collective in a performance, highlighting the plight of Ugandan refugee children entitled Invisible Children, followed by a joint worship project with Faith Community Church in Watts. In the spring, we will host the African Children’s Choir, a chorus made up of orphans from throughout the continent who raise money for the schools in their homelands. The culminating event will be a visit by our choir to our mission partners in Austria and Hungary where we will visit local churches and outreach ministries, sharing the gift of music, prayer, and community.

How can I help?

Your prayers and support are invaluable to this cause. The impact of Bel Air Presbyterian Church through your tithes and offerings is enormous. Music with Mission is partially supported by those contributions and the personal resources of the musicians involved. If you would like to support this cause or Worship & Arts at Bel Air, please contact Mark Aaron Humphrey at 818.788.4200, or click here to contribute to Music with Mission.
