Global Partners

Serve the World

A Passport to the World with Bel Air Church Partners

Bel Air Church is in strategic partnership with five churches around the world. With our strategic partners, we share values and tasks on how we serve God in the city and around the world:
•    We send and receive short-term mission teams from our strategic partners.
•    We mutually engage and support mission projects in their home country or in third countries.
•    We serve as a catalyst between these partners and motivating them to serve in mission with one another.

Brazil :: First Presbyterian Church :: Manaus

Manaus is a city in the northern part of Brazil and capital of Amazonas State. Located on the Negro River near its confluence with the Amazon River, it is the chief port and a hub for the region's extensive river system.

The Manaus Presbyterian Church has thousands of enthusiastic young adult members and a great missionary vision. They are organized in around 500 small bible study groups, developed a very effective holistic approach to ministry, helped thousands of poor families living on the shores of Rio Negro and Amazon. They are involved in planning of dozens of new churches in the Amazon rain forest and beyond. Many mission teams from Bel Air Pres have served with the church in Manaus and all have come back to the US amazed by the great work our partners have done.

China:: Protestant Churches and Bible Schools :: Harbin

Often referred to as the 'Oriental Moscow' or 'Oriental Paris' for the architecture in the city. Harbin is also known as 'Ice City' for its long and cold winter. Harbin is ranked as the tenth largest city in China, serving as a key political, economic, scientific, cultural and communications center of Northeastern China.

Donald and Wei Hong Snow, Presbyterian missionaries in China say that: "From a perspective of Christian witness, it is important to have foreign Christians serving in China at the invitation of Chinese Christians because in this way their service reflects the concern of Chinese Christians as well as those from other countries. In China, a nation where many people still assume Christianity is a distinctly a Western faith, cooperation between Chinese Christians and those of other nations is an important witness to the universality of the church.

Bel Air is partnering with four churches in Harbin, all led by the Pastors Li Meilan and Pastor Lu Dezh, and two Bible Schools. God is doing amazing things in China and we are glad to be part of it.

Democratic Republic of Congo :: Communate Evangelique Au Centre de l'Afrique :: Bunia

The Democratic Republic of Congo is ¼ the size of the USA with 80 million people, over 200 ethnic groups, and 700 languages and dialects. Since 1996, The Democratic Republic of Congo has been racked with wars—civil and tribal—that continue to this day. Over 5.4 million people have been killed—the most since World War II. The fighting has been called the African World War.

Communate Evangelique Au Centre de l'Afrique church in Bunia, has become a leader in reconciliation and training of pastors and Christian leaders. Many surrounding churches are still divided along tribal lines, but the Bunia church sets an example with a multi-tribal staff and congregation. The church emphasizes the three areas of worship, interior growth—equipping to serve God and others, and mission expeditions to train other pastors and to work with, and encourage, "weak" churches in the surrounding areas

Egypt:: Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church :: Cairo

Five blocks from the Nile River, tucked into a crowded neighborhood that includes the U.S. and British embassies, is the largest Protestant church in the Arab world, Kasr Dobara. The vision of Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church is built in part on the blessing of Egypt found in Isaiah 19:25, "Blessed is Egypt, My people."

Healing Grace is KDEC's Village Transformation ministry. By partnering with churches like Bel Air, they are transforming the holistic health of villages throughout Egypt by ministering to their physical needs through fresh water programs, and also their spiritual, social, and emotional needs through mercy ministry, Awana and sports. India :: Bihar Christian Church

Bihar has traditionally been known as the graveyard of missions since the arrival of the first Baptist missionaries in 1792. Despite over 200 years of missionary endeavors, Bihar's 90 million people are living in over 40,000 villages without a church.

Bihar ministries in Patna seek to reach Bihar with the gospel and to work through churches to make disciples in this area of the world that is often dry and dark. Much remains to be done, but the church is growing at a phenomenal rate in that state. During the last ten years, the total Christian population grew from 2,000 to 60,000. It is still a small minority, but they are enjoying the pouring of blessings of the Holy Spirit in a very special way. Bel Air is partnered with Bihar ministries in Patna in leadership development, church planting and compassion ministry..

South Africa :: The Maranatha Community Church :: Kempton Park, Johannesburg

Kempton Park is a suburb of Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa by population and the capital of the the wealthiest province in South Africa. Even though the government ended apartheid in 1994, the area continues to be challenged by racial issues and the fallout.

The Maranatha Community Church in Kempton Park, a suburb of Johannesburg, was founded in 1907, as the 1st non-denominational church in South Africa. Now between 4-5000 attend this church weekly. The main focus of the church is loving people through leadership development, small groups, evangelism and missions. The church itself is seeking to impact the area of Johannesburg through the multiple ministries and partnerships.
