BEL AIR FAMILY CAMP
We still have openings at Family Camp so we are extending the registration for another week till July 7.
We still have some families who would like to attend Family Camp but need some financial assistance to get there.
Would you consider giving a gift toward sponsoring one of these families? Even $500 might make the difference to one of these families.
Just write SPONSOR FAMILY CAMP in the memo line of your check or add that notation to an online gift. Thank you.
When > July 21–27, 2019

What is Bel Air Family Camp?
Family Camp is a great snap shot of what the church is called to be as we see in the Book of Acts. Singles, couples, families, young and old all get a feeling of being part of the family of God—the family of the church. In worship and prayer, in the study of God's Word, in times of playing and resting, in small groups and as we sing and break bread together, the Spirit of God is at work!
New items added for registration. Bowling and Golfing have been added for you to select and pay for at registration.
Join us Monday July 22 from 9:30 p.m. - 11.:30 p.m. Family Bowling. $25.00 per person which includes shoes, snacks, and unlimited soft drinks.
Tuesday July 23 at 1p.m. We have our annual Family Golf Tournament at Boulder Creek golf Course. $30.00 per person walking or $42.00 including cart. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.
Register here today. Registration extended till July 7!!.
This Year's Speaker: George Hinman
George is the Senior Pastor of University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, WA. Prior to accepting UPC’s call, George served Bel Air as Pastor of Discipleship for several years.
George came to UPC in 2008 already in love with the Pacific Northwest. Although his earliest childhood memories were of being covered in salt water, lashed to the high side of a sailboat, racing on San Francisco bay, his fondest memories come from summer camp sailing in the San Juan Islands.
The best thing about George is his wife Ann, who has put up with him for over a quarter century. Together they’ve raised three wonderful children, Harvey, Will, and Phebe, who by now have done all they can and moved on to bigger things.
George believes in grace. The apostle Paul considered himself ‘chief among sinners,’ but that’s just because he hadn’t met George. It’s been the presence and faithfulness of a gracious God that means the world to George and gives him hope for the world… “Christ in me is the hope of glory.”
George is passionate about university students and community, followers of Jesus living kingdom life together. George has served with Cru in New England, as a chaplain at M.I.T., as pastor of discipleship at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in L.A. Although he’s a Husky wannabe, George makes do with a little schooling from Brown University and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
George loves to hang out in coffee shops with friends, reading or pretending to drink coffee (which he doesn’t), but you’ll see him just as often riding a bicycle on the Burke-Gilman trail. He loves fly-fishing, skiing, putzing in the garden, and any sport that allows him to win by trash talking.
