Director of Caring Ministries

A full-time positon offering leadership and oversight to the Caring Ministries Department at Bel Air Presbyterian Church.

This position requires seminary training and experience in pastoral care, programmatic leadership and working with a large team of lay people. Through our Caring Ministries we provide pastoral care to a large church membership, and oversight of special groups such as: Celebrate Recovery, Stephen's Ministries, Grief Support, Divorce Recovery, etc.

The Caring Ministries works in close relationships with all departments of the church, seeking to offer care and support to the whole community and encourage people in their spiritual health and wholeness as disciples of Christ.

Working closely with all the pastors of the church, this position will report directly to the Head of Staff. (Not currently an ordained position but the possibility for ordination in the future is being considered.) Support staff for the department include: Full Time Coordinator of Caring Ministries, elder and lay leadership.

Preschool Associate Teacher

Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool, accredited through the NAEYC, is seeking an Associate Teacher for their Infant/Toddler/Preschool program totaling 140 students. Applicants with a BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Human Development including at least 12 core ECE units and Infant/Toddler units are encouraged to apply.

Under the direction of the Lead Teacher, the Associate Teacher will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, creative, respectful and developmentally appropriate learning environment and experience for children and families. The Associate Teacher assists the Lead Teacher in curriculum planning, interactions with students, communication with parents, assessment of the development of the children and maintenance of the learning environment.
