Then Sings My Soul : Psalms
A ten-week study in the book of Psalms that takes you through different cries of the psalmist, and of ourselves. Each week provides an icebreaker, context, text, discussion and application questions, and an action step for each individual. Video teaching segments provides context from Pastor Mark Brewer of Bel Air Presbyterian Church, Bishop Kenneth C. This is My Body: At God's table (Luke, seven sessions)
God has set a table at the center of life. This table stands between your past and your future, between your fears and your hopes, between you and your neighbor, and—most of all—between you and God. At this table God claims you, binds you to others, transforms you, and commissions you to be his body in and for the world. When Jesus walked the earth, the table stood for relationship. God invites you to his table, to new relationship with him. On the eve of the most definitive moment in all of human history, an obscure but controversial man gathered a handful of his followers into a small, second-story room. After arranging themselves around a table, they quieted down and met their teacher’s gaze. With a cup of wine in front of him and a circle of bread in his hands, he began, “This is my body, which is for you...” And life itself would never be the same.
