Celebrate Recovery seeks to offer people freedom from a wide range of issues: broken relationships, co-dependency, food issues, anger and depression, divorce, substance abuse, sexual brokenness, and more. CR goes beyond secular 12-step “Anon” groups and believes true healing comes from the One & only Higher Power, Jesus Christ.
Each Saturday > 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. > Room A201 >> If you want freedom from life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits we encourage you to check out Celebrate Recovery, a 12-step, Christ-centered program.
Celebrate Recovery: Moral Inventory
Saturday, March 17 > 1–2:30 p.m. > Student Center >> How’s Your Heart? A Workshop examining your past hurts and their effect on your present habits.
Celebrate Recovery Step Study
Step Study is a Biblical and balanced small group to help overcome hurts, habits, and hang-ups obstructing lasting freedom with lessons from Celebrate Recovery's 4 Participant Guides. These participant guides, in conjunction with the small group experience, will take the participant on a in dept journey through the 12 steps.
*Note that this is different from our regular Celebrate Recovery Open Share group which meets in Evans Chapel every Saturday at 11 a.m.
From the Message Bible by Eugene Peterson, Matthew 11: 28–30:
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
