Our Partner in BRazil: Manaus Presbyterian church

Manaus Presbyterian Church has thousands of enthusiastic young adult members and a great missionary vision. Organized in around 500 small Bible study groups, they have developed a very effective holistic approach to ministry, helping thousands of poor families living on the shores of the Rio Negro and Amazon. They are involved in the planting of dozens of new churches in the Amazon rain forest and beyond. Manaus is a city in the northern part of Brazil and the capital of the Amazonas state. Located on the Negro River near its confluence with the Amazon River, it is the chief port and hub for the region's extensive river system.
